  • I am a high school teacher. We all know that we cannot forcibly detain a student in a classroom unless there is an exterior eminent threat. This was all wrong from start to finish. All she had to do was document that he left the classroom without permission. However, am starting to think she was already doing/saying something that made him decide to walk out. I don’t even take issue with him removing her glasses, because he was being illegally forcibly detained. As far as the N-word, I think she was mocking him when he used the same word with her. Either way, if a black teacher were to have discourse like this with a black student, we would be reprimanded. If a black teacher were to have discourse like this with ANY other people group, we would be fired immediately without investigation/suspension. Thanks @ the Real Dr. Phill!
