AI Editorial Policy and Transparency Standards
African Diaspora News Channel uses artificial intelligence tools to support certain parts of its newsroom and content production process. These tools may assist with research organization, script support, visual presentation, AI reporter segments, and other production-related tasks.
ADNC’s use of AI does not replace human editorial judgment. All public-facing content remains subject to human oversight, editorial review, and final approval by authorized members of the ADNC team.
ADNC may use AI-generated or AI-assisted reporters, presenters, or visual avatars. These AI reporters are not represented as human journalists. Where appropriate, ADNC will identify AI-generated or AI-assisted presenters and may list them separately from human journalists to maintain transparency with the audience.
ADNC is an independent media platform with a clear editorial perspective. The use of AI does not change ADNC’s mission, viewpoint, or commitment to covering issues affecting Black Americans and the African diaspora. ADNC may take strong editorial positions while maintaining standards for factual accuracy, source review, and responsible commentary.
ADNC does not use AI to knowingly fabricate sources, invent quotes, impersonate real people without disclosure, create deceptive news footage, or publish false information. AI tools must not be used in a way that intentionally misleads the audience about the origin, identity, or factual basis of a report.
If AI-assisted content contains an error, ADNC will address it under the same correction standards that apply to all ADNC content. Responsibility for corrections remains with ADNC’s human editorial leadership.
Because AI technology, platform rules, and public expectations continue to evolve, ADNC may update this policy as needed.
