Jamaican Woman Says Jamaicans Are Not African, Will They Say She’s Causing Division?

Dinlineation should not happen at the border, it must occur at the behavior

What FBAs, Caribbeans and Africans need now is Education. Our ancestors were here in America prior to the 20th Century. Many of them were mixed across plantations here and in the Carribean. During the civil war, the records of many people working as slaves and endentured servants were destroyed. A lot of the marriage, birth and death records were managed by churches.

When I went to South Africa, a woman told me she was Colored.
All of us across the Diaspora have carved out our cultures based upon where our ancestors landed during and after the slave trade. We all have accolades we can claim, music, which includes, blues, jazz, r&b, hip-hop,rap, reggae,reggaton, Fashion, which includes Kente Cloth, Pop Culture and more. Jamaican music often imitates r & b, and adds Calypso beats, as well as Salsa.
I have personally listened to many songs that use r & b music with reggae. None of us are more exceptional because of our geographical point of origin. Are we adapting the ways of those who enslaved our ancestors. Do we look for difference to establish our self-worth. Throughout all of the diaspora we have exceptional people, and people satisfied with the status quo. Even amongst the descendants of the colonizers we have the status quo mentality. In the spirit of Marcus Garvey, Dr. Martin Luther King, Patrice Lamumba, Dr. Maya Angelou, Cicely Tyson, lets elevate among those who are exceptional, and inspire those satisfied with the status quo. Change the converstion from border to behavior. FBAs have a flag, nationality, musical genres, history of revolution, our ancestors are buried on plots we now own, we are doctors, lawyers, teachers, athletes, journalists, scientists, engineers are more. we are all people of faith, with traditional dishes, history, and a community of love. Every culture has their bad apples. Choose love and the common good instead of difference
We now have a generation who have parentage from different cultures of African descent. We are not contributing to their health by passing on the attitudes of our ancestors on to them.
