Reneilwe Morema reports on a leaked Whatsapp conversation between ANC General Secretary Fikile Mbalula and Musician Papa Penny. In the leaked Whatsapp conversation, Fikile Mbalula threatens Papa Penny from performing at an MK rally in Soweto. Papa Penny said he doesn’t take these threats lightly, and his resignation stems from years of being mistreated by the ruling party, and these recent threats are just the icing on the cake. This is not the first time Mbalula threatens an artist, he once threatened Kwaito Star for branding his phalanx vehicles in ANC colours in support of dismissed former ANC secretary Ace Magashule. It seems the ANC is hellbent in staying in power, even if it means threatening and bullying its citizens.
