Racism Prompts Germany’s First African Born Lawmaker To Quit
Reneilwe Morema reports on the intense racism in Germany that prompted African Born lawmaker Karamaba Diaby who entered the Bundestag (German Federal Parliament) in 2013, in a moment hailed as historic to quit. Karamba revealed that he and his staff received hate mail, including racist slurs and death threats, he also says he blames the far-right populist party which entered the Bundestag in 2017 for providing fertile ground for the racist attacks by the society, and he has had enough!
