The South African Justice System Fails Two Year Old Sexual Assault Victim
Reneilwe Morema reports on the sexual assault case of a two-year-old girl. The little girl was sexually assaulted by the husband of the owner of the nursery, and no arrests have been made due to the delay of the ”grape” kit and the perpetrator’s connection to the Newland East SAPS. During an anti-crime meeting with KZN Police Commissioner Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi last month, the mother of the victim tearfully pleaded for justice as this man has been roaming the streets for 30 years, violating other newborn victims.
